BEACH SURF ART BY KROGLE
A Southern California native, Jim received his bachelors degree in illustration from Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles in 1969. More than 20 years of illustration followed, honoring Jim with numerous awards in the field of advertising. Some of his distinguished clients included, Disney, Sunkist, Hansens, Kelloggs, Kal-Kan, Carls Jr., Ford, Honda, Toyota, and Universal Studios. In 1991 Jim began his fine art career with a series of six scenes of Avalon on Catalina Island. His portfolio of landmarks now includes scenes along the Southern California coast from San Diego to Huntington Beach, and new editions are always in the works. The influence of Jims extensive career as an American Illustrator is evident in his clear, crisp, pen and ink and watercolor renderings of famous landmarks and ocean scenes. Jims work presents a harvest of good memories; souvenirs of places seen and loved by locals and tourists alike.
